I’m heading to Virginia!

I’ve officially planned my first vacation of this year. I know what you’re asking as you read this. “What took you so long to go on a vacation this year?!” Trust me – I wish I could have gone on one earlier. Life gets in the way and planning is put on the back burner. But here I am! Ready to head over to Virginia.

Why Virginia?
My cousin moved to Virginia about two years ago and I have yet to visit her. What better time than the middle of the summer? It’ll be fun to see her and hang out with her on her new turf. I’ve never been to Virginia, so this will all be new for me. I need to see more of this beautiful country! And, it’s economical. Saving money on a trip is pretty cool.

Where will I be going?
Lynchburg, VA is her new hometown, so we’ll be starting there. There are¬†mountains and the James River which means some outdoor activities. After exploring Lynchburg and some surrounding cities, we’ll be taking our vacation to the coast.

That’s right, Virginia Beach! I can’t wait to just relax on the beach. Fingers crossed mother nature gives me some good weather to soak up some sun rays! Aside from lounging on the beach, I can’t wait to see what Virginia Beach has to offer in regards to restaurants, activities and nightlife.

I’m so excited to visit my cousin and explore a new place. I want to go somewhere new every year and this is just the beginning. If you have any suggestions on what to do in the areas we’ll be visiting, please leave it in the comments below. I’ll keep you posted and will, as always, share my adventures when I return.
